Hiking

The Whistlers Trial

Jasper, Alberta, Canada. (August, 2020)

16.5 km with 1300 m elevation  (Hard)

One of the best views of Jasper town and surrounding mountains. It took approximately 8 hours to finish the hike (two ways). It also has a restaurant as you get to the top to refill food and drinks. If you cannot make it down, you can always take the gondola down.

Eagle Bluffs

Cypress Mountain, British Columbia, Canada (July, 2021)

8.9 km with 443 m elevation (Moderate)

If you would like to get a view of Vancouver city, this is a very short and easy hike! The trail path is a little bit confusing at the start to get to the BP trial, rest of the trial is well marked.

Tunnel Bluffs

Lions Bay, British Columbia, Canada (July, 2021)

10.9 km with 519 m elevation (Moderate)

Nice views of the sea-to-sky highway with islands (Bowen island) and blue ocean. Parking is a little tough to get. Get early ~7 am to get parking spots, or you must hike before you start the hike ;)

Pump peak, Seymour

Mt Seymour trial, British Columbia, Canada (August, 2021)

6.6 km with 380 m elevation (Moderate)

Excellent views of Vancouver. You can do some mountain climbing at the end to get to the first pump peak (or go around it for easy trail reach). The views are serene and unbelievable.

Joffre lakes

Joffre lakes Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada (November, 2021)

10.9 km with 880 m elevation (Moderate)

All season hike. The views are stunning. In winters, you need to have spikes or it can get crazy slippery. We failed to reach the third lake without spikes, however, next week we made it to the top with spikes. We are hoping to get to Joffre mountain next summer, stay tuned!

Tim Jones peak

Cypress provincial park, BC, CA. (November, 2021)

7.4 km with 450 m elevation (Moderate)

Beautiful view of the peaks behind Mt.Seymour and beyond. Full of nature viewpoints with breathtaking views. I would highly recommend you to continue the hike to Mt Seymour peak which has fascinating views as well.

Mount Seymour

Cypress provincial park, BC, CA. (November, 2021)

8.2 km with 577 m elevation (Hard)

One of the best hiking spots that you could choose living in Vancouver. The view is just breathtaking with both Vancouver mainland and the mountain ranges behind in the north.

St.Marks Summit (Winter)

Cypress provincial park, BC, CA (December, 2021)

10.5 km with 587 m elevation (Moderate)

A great hike with a well-maintained trailhead and a great view of islands and oceans. Choose to go on a sunny day to get the best view. Must need spikes!

St.Marks Summit (Summer)

Cypress provincial park, BC, CA (June, 2021)

10.5 km with 587 m elevation (Moderate)

Beautiful hike. Well maintained trail and you can get to the famous Instagram spot, lol! We had a smoggy day due to surrounding wildfires.

Multnomah falls

Oregon, USA

3.8 km with 266 m elevation (Easy)

Beautiful hike. You will get great views of the nearby Columbia river and a stunning view from the top of the falls. Short and exciting hike but is really worth the walk

Lake Agnes Tea House

Banff, Canada.

7.4 km with 384 m elevation (Easy)

Beautiful hike. You will get great views of the Canadian Rockies. You might be able to see Lake Louise between trees as you climb up.

Midnight Dome

Yukon, Canada

6.9 km with 569 m elevation (Hard)

The sun is as bright during the day as it is at 00:00. Amazing views of Dawson City and the Yukon River merging with the Klondike river (glacier). There is also an option to drive up to the view point if you are lazy to hike during the night. You can pick up some pizzas and have dinner at the peak. If you have an RV, you can also camp up there!

Rainbow lake

Squamish, Canada

16.1 km with 925 m elevation (Hard)

A hard hike with beautiful lake at the top that provides water to Squamish town /Whistler area. You can also visit the rainbow falls. I highly recommend this hike to be done during fall or early summer.

Stay tuned- More to come
